Providing Life Changing Opportunities for Kids in Need

We believe that positive opportunities developed to teach life skills should be available to all youth, regardless of financial ability or circumstances.

We feel when families can’t afford or provide necessary opportunities for their children, it becomes an opportunity for the communities to step in. Not only is this the right thing to do, but the cost of providing preventative programs is a fraction of the cost of incarceration and welfare programs.

We are striving to build a community of “Pals” who graduate from high school, college, and go on to have productive, meaningful, happy lives.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with We Are Pals, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

We Are Pals, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your We Are Pals administrator if you have any questions).

By purchasing your background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
