Our Story

Aren't you that clinic in the van?

Well, we used to be! PHC started in 1999 as the dream of local medical providers and community members who realized the enormous need for low-cost health services in the Park City area. Our first clinic was held in 2000. We DID start in a medical van in which a group of doctors, medical technicians and translators volunteered their time to travel throughout Summit and Wasatch Counties offering evening clinics. The response was tremendous. With growing need, the Clinic sought and found rented spaces to expand its services over the years as we looked for a permanent home.

Then, how did you end up in this fantastic new facility?

We still pinch ourselves. In 2008, we were lucky to form a unique partnership with the Summit County Health Department and Intermountain Health Care.In 2009, the Clinic finally found a permanent home. Now the Clinic occupies 5,000 square feet in the Health Department's new building at Quinn's Junction, just ouside of Park City. This new facility has given the People's Health Clinic the opportunity to display a level of professionalism and quality that our volunteers and staff have always sought to provide. It has also given local residents the confidence to seek care here.

In order to be an employee with the People's Health Clinic or an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits and the Utah Nonprofit Association, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.
