The Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas was chartered in 1955 to promote interest and research, and to give instruction in the science of astronomy and related disciplines.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer, officer or director with the Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.
