Sunnyside Wellness Calls matches volunteers with seniors to call in New York City during the COVID-19 crisis. These regular calls help to fight social isolation, connect older New Yorkers with the resources they need, and build relationships that will bring joy and comfort to seniors and volunteers alike.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer with Sunnyside Wellness Calls, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Sunnyside Wellness Calls, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Sunnyside Wellness Calls administrator if you have any questions).

By purchasing your volunteer background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
