Opus 118 Harlem School of Music - Background Screening Portal
About Us
Opus 118 is committed to our local community by serving the children and families of Harlem. Our students appreciate the generosity and support they have received. In return, students have given back by performing at local venues and through our performances, we reach out to new audiences in an effort to bring the gift of music to New York City residents. Our young musicians have played at some of New York City’s most prestigious music halls including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and they opened for the New York Philharmonic in Central Park.
Background Screening Requirement
In order to be a volunteer or employee with Opus118, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.
Opus118, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.
If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your non-employment background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Opus118 administrator if you have any questions).
By purchasing your non-employment background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
We are grateful for your continued support and appreciate your consideration of this offer.
