Our Mission

Our mission is to provide family strengthening events and care programs for foster families to encourage true, honest, and happy smiles in children. We strive to raise awareness for our cause and bring change to the lives of those we serve in our community. With your help we can make a difference.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Share My Smile, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Share My Smile, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Share My Smile administrator if you have any questions).

By purchasing your volunteer background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.

* If an Iowa resident, a charge of $16.95 from Coeus Global will appear on your credit card statement
*If outside of Iowa a charge of $16.95 PLUS applicable state fess will appear on your credit card statement
