About Us

Heartland Hope Mission is a faith-based 501(c)3 charitable organization founded to help the working poor by providing them with some of life's most basic staples.

Heartland Hope Mission provides pantry items, prayer and financial education to help people on the road to self-sufficiency.

When a family is trying to make a decision between food and an electric bill or rent, they are often unable to think past their current situation.

Heartland Hope Mission provides food, hygiene items and clothing to help alleviate these immediate pressures.

By doing so, we give hope, allowing these families to consider options that will improve their long-term condition.

We also meet with our clients one-on-one to help connect them to the resources they need to become self-sufficient.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Heartland Hope Mission, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Heartland Hope Mission, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Heartland Hope Mission administrator if you have any questions).

By self-purchasing your volunteer background check, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
