New England Electric Railway Historical Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating as Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine.

New England Electric Railway Historical Society shares powerful connections between the past and present. We preserve knowledge, context, and resources for future generations by collecting, restoring, operating, and exhibiting significant public transit vehicles and artifacts.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with the Seashore Trolley Museum, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Seashore Trolley Museum, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.
