About Us
Maine Robotics was created in 2004 to meet the growing needs of the educational-robotics community in Maine.
Maine Robotics is incorporated in the State of Maine and is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation as defined by the Internal Revenue Service.
Our Mission
To promote growth and interest in the sciences of engineering and computers; to provide opportunities to instruct teachers, coaches, and mentors in the skills necessary to in turn mentor and teach the youth of Maine. Maine Robotics seeks to provide a supportive, mentoring atmosphere for teachers wishing to pursue advancement in the sometimes daunting world of engineering and computer science. Maine Robotics also seeks to provide a supportive system for children and youth to learn mor e about engineering and computer science in an energetic, educational manner
Background Screening Requirement
In order to be a volunteer or employee with an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.
Maine Robotics, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.
