Our Mission

Baltimore Pooch Camp is focused on providing young people in Baltimore City and the surrounding areas, the tools & empowerment needed to break through their unique life circumstances & learning challenges by training & bonding with homeless dogs. The program enables the teens to increase their emotional intelligence- finding self esteem, self determination and empathy while they in turn enable homeless dogs to develop the skills to be adopted into permanent loving homes.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Baltimore Pooch Camp, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Baltimore Pooch Camp, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Baltimore Pooch Camp administrator if you have any questions).

By self-purchasing your volunteer background check, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
