About Us

Hyattsville Aging in Place (HAP) is a non-profit organization committed to helping Hyattsville residents over age 60 stay in their homes and remain active in the community. We are dedicated to helping residents achieve these goals with independence, dignity, comfort, and safety. All, regardless of age, who are interested are welcome.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Hyattsville Aging in Place, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Hyattsville Aging in Place, as a nonprofit organization, typically incures the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

You are already volunteering your time and we don't believe you should have to pay to have your background check completed.

If you still want to help us carry out our mission by covering the cost of your background check, check the button that says you will pay with your credit card and thank you!
