The Legal Clinic provides confidential, compassionate, and free/affordable immigration legal services to financially-eligible immigrants and COFA* citizens in Hawaii.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer, officer or director with The Legal Clinic, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

The Legal Clinic, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your The Legal Clinic administrator if you have any questions).

By self-purchasing your volunteer background check, you will help our programs provide additional services.
