About Post 53
For 40 years, Post 53 has provided the town of Darien, CT with emergency medical services, while providing local high school students with an exceptional opportunity to serve their community. The dedicated volunteers of Post 53 man three fully-equipped state-of-the-art ambulances, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
Background Screening Requirement
In order to be a volunteer or employee with Post 53, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.
Post 53, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.
