About Therapy Partners
Therapy Partners, Inc.® is a non-profit organization comprised of certified owner-and-pet teams who volunteer as therapeutic tools at such service organizations as Huntsville Hospital Pediatrics, HealthSouth Rehabilitation, the Huntsville, Alabama public school system and Hospice Family Care. These animal-assisted interactions are designed to benefit people by reducing stress and anxiety, diminishing pain, normalizing the environment, providing unique sensory stimuli, and assisting in meeting treatment goals. Therapy Partners offer calm in uncertain times.
Therapy Partners, Inc.® staffs and manages five unique, service-oriented programs and Kind Hearts Behavior Center, a dog training school that incorporates the use of clickers.
Therapy Partners Board of Directors and the Advisory Council, Therapy Partners staff, Handlers without Partners, Kind Hearts instructors, Partners Achieving Literacy escorts and other volunteers also are Therapy Partners members.
Background Screening Requirement
In order to be a volunteer or employee of Therapy Partners, Inc.®, an organization affiliated with the Alabama Association of Nonprofits, each of the above named persons is required to have a criminal background check completed.
Therapy Partners, Inc.®, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the costs of all background checks.
