About Us

Specializing in creating intimate relationships with nature for people of all ages, OEA encourages curiosity and creativity as well as getting dirty and having fun. We also sneak in learning about the wonders of nature (just don’t tell the kids they’re learning!).

We believe strongly that we are teaching the leaders and community members of the future, and that exposing them to nature as much as possible will help them make more informed decisions and become conscientious citizens.

While OEA focusses primarily on educating children, we welcome people of all ages to join us in our adventures and explorations. Come out and play with us!

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Outdoor Education Adventures, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Outdoor Education Adventures, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Outdoor Education Adventures administrator if you have any questions).

By self-purchasing your volunteer background check, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
