The Good Neighbors Mission

Good Neighbors is a cooperative neighborhood project, designed to allow older residents of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill in Brooklyn and adjacent neighborhoods both the practical means and the confidence to enjoy life to the fullest living in their own homes, in the diverse urban, multi-generational environment they value.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Good Neighbors of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Good Neighbors of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Good Neighbors of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill administrator if you have any questions).

By purchasing your volunteer background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
