Our Mission

To mitigate the loss of human and animal lives by providing disaster response assistance for displaced animals during natural and human-caused disasters in Central California; to promote the prevention of cruelty to animals; and to foster the human-animal bond

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer with Central California Animal Disaster Team, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Central California Animal Disaster Team, as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization ask that the potential/existing volunteer pay for the background check at a cost of $16.95. In addition, if you plan on evacuating animals using a CCADT-owned vehicle/trailer or your own personal vehicle, you will need to provide a motor vehicle report which will add an additional $9.00 to the cost of the background check.

By self-purchasing your background check, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.

However, if the fee presents a financial hardship, please contact the CCADT Administrator to discuss.

*In California the following counties impose court fees which may be added to the package price:
$5.00 Fee - Alpine, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Inyo, Los Angeles, Mono, Plumas, San Benito
